Fotografia, a zwłaszcza fotografia komercyjna, zasadza się zazwyczaj na paradoksie: na jednej szali waży się kreatywność, na drugiej – liczne niekiedy kompromisy wynikające z budżetu produkcyjnego czy briefu. W efekcie "fotograf jest jednym z wielu współtwórców większej całości, wymienianym obok stylistów, autorów fryzur, manikiuru, producentów, modelek i modeli, z drugiej zaś –niezależnym, lub walczącym o niezależność artystą świadomie i konsekwentnie realizującym własne zamierzenia."
Wystawa „Fotograf jest jednym z wielu” prezentuje wybrane projekty, także wcześniej niepublikowane, czterech fotografów - Pawła Fabjańskiego, Karola Grygoruka, Jacka Kołodziejskiego i Łukasza Ziętka - zrzeszonych w warszawskiej agencji SHOOTME.

W czterech różnych światach pojawiają się te same pytania: Na ile innowacyjność i swoboda wyrażania myśli artystycznej jest krępowana przez realia rzeczywistości rynkowej? Czy artysta może wpleść swoje indywidualne strategie intelektualne i twórcze w działania realizowane na zamówienie? Czy obraz wykreowany na zlecenie może być tożsamy z tym, który powstał w wyniku strategii znanych ze świata sztuki?

Czy artysta nie przeczy sam sobie działając w dwóch światach: komercji i sztuki?

Wystawie będzie towarzyszyła premiera zbiorowej książki fotograficznej, prezentującej prace wyżej wymienionych fotografów.

Prace artystów będą dostępne na sprzedaż.

Wydarzenie jest inauguracją SHOOTME ART.
Shootme Art powstało jako dział agencji fotograficznej SHOOTME, jest platformą, która ma inspirować, informować i rozpowszechniać wiedzę na temat polskiej fotografii współczesnej.

Photography, and especially commercial photography, is usually based on a paradox: on the one hand there is the creativity of an individual, and on the other, the compromises he or she is to make in order to meet the requirements of the budget and brief. As a result "the photographer is listed as one of the many people involved in realizing a bigger entity, along with stylists, hairdressers, make up artists, manicurists, models, and producers. On the other hand, he or she is an independent artist, consistently and persistently realizing his intention".

The exhibition "The Photographer is one of the many... " presents selected projects of four photographers - Pawel Fabjanski, Karol Grygoruk, Jacek Kołodziejski and Lukasz Ziętek - members of Shootme agency, which combines art and commerce, individual style and requirements of the commercial customer. Four different visions are bounded with the same questions: How innovation and freedom of expression of artistic thought is constrained by the demands of the commercial reality? Can the artist integrate his individual strategies of intellectual and creative activities into the commercial work? Is the image created at the request may be the same as the one that is the result of a strategy known in the art world? Doesn't the artist deny himself acting in two worlds: commercial and art?

The exhibition will be accompanied with the release of the first Photobook, presenting the work of the four
mentioned photographers.

With this exhibition and the Photobook, we would like to open and welcome a new stage and development of Shootme, emerging from the need to define and express a noticeable distinction between photography in art and advertising.

Shootme Art will be showcasing the individual and artistic projects of united under it’s wings photographers, starting with presented during the exhibition: Pawel Fabjanski, Jacek Kolodziejski, Karol Grygoruk, Lukasz Zietek.
